Jack Nicklaus doubled down and went for broke on this tantalizing design at Coyote Springs Golf Club, a course located about 50 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.
Nicklaus had to think twice before pushing in his chips when he was asked to create the first course in a hundreds-of- millions-of- dollar master planned community located away from the hustle and bustle of Vegas. But the Golden Bear and his design team went to work and created of the best courses in the West.
Immediately upon opening, the course was added to “Best New Course” lists by national and regional media including Golfweek and Golf Magazine, among others. The course plays to a par 72 and ranges from 5,349 yards from the forward tees to 7,471 yards from the championship tees. Eleven lakes come into play on the golf course many consider to be one of Nicklaus’ finest desert creations. The holes mesh seamlessly into the surrounding mountains. The green complexes are challenging and magnificent.
Coyote Springs fits right in with the Blackjack Golf Trail theme because the holes are named after popular gaming phrases. You start on hole #1, “Coming Out”, just like in craps, and finish with “All In”, a stunning par 5. In between, you will play “Deuces Wild”, “Double Down”, “Pocket Rockets” and “Seven Out”, among others.
It’s time to come out at Coyote Springs and see what the hub bub is about.
