The Rat Pack is Back is a long-running production show on the Las Vegas Strip paying homage to some of Vegas most legendary entertainers, but the spirit of the Rat Pack — you know, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop — has never left Las Vegas National Golf Club.
This historic course, which opened in 1961 as the Stardust Country Club and immediately hosted the LPGA Championship, a major on the LPGA Tour, features the Rat Pack Bar & Grill where a piano played by Sinatra and his pals is still on display. Plus, the National is located just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip resorts and showrooms where the five played, making it one of the most convenient courses to get to for visiting Las Vegas golfers.
Las Vegas National is an oasis-styled layout with mature trees — perfect for warmer days in Vegas — and offers some of the most challenging par 3 holes in Las Vegas. The course has not only been a hot spot for celebrities over the years but has hosted multiple PGA Tour events including the Tournament of Champions (1967-68) and the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational, when Tiger Woods won his first-ever PGA Tour tournament.
The facility is also home to the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame exhibit, which is free of charge in the clubhouse. You can also golf to the future by playing a round on a Golfboard, a surf/golf experience. You’ll never roll snake eyes at LV National so ante up now.
